My birding trip

I didn’t get a very close look at the birds. There are two types of identification techniques that I used. Color and flight pattern.

Color

  • Downy woodpeckers: Downy woodpeckers have a red head, black wings, and a white belly and eye ring.

  • Blue Jays: Blue Jays have white, blue and black on the wings and tail. There is white on the belly, and pale blue between the head and wings.

Flight

I also saw a red tailed hawk today. It was just a silhouette. I recorded that it had a wing pattern. It was:

Flap, flap, gliiiiiiiiiiiiiiide, flap, flap, flap, gliiiiiiiiiiiiiide and so on.

Please note that I did not take the pictures. I found them on the internet. The first one: https://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Blue_Jay/media-browser-overview/59859171. The second one: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/534239574 527399458/
