Course: Academic Boot Camp
lesson: 26
Subject: places in my life where I have had success, and if so, have I used any of the five institutional questions my Academic Boot Camp teacher uses?
Place number one: Thanksgiving; One Thanksgiving, I found a new pie recipe, and I made it all by my self. (Because I have a great baking talent,) It was easy. I made it and brought it to our Thanksgiving dinner on my mom’s side of the family. It was a big success. Everybody who tried it loved it. It was the best pie I had ever made. Getting on to the five institutional questions, there is one of the five institutional questions that could apply. It was the last one; “Time: ‘does this outfit have a future?’â€. It could have a future. I still make that same pie every year. I could open a pie shop when I grow up.
Place number two: Getting full (Rare!); When me and my mom went to an all-you-can-eat buffet, I chose my portions wisely and ate only until I was full. My mom was the ultimate boss witch answers one of the five institutional questions; “Sovereignty: ‘who is in charge here?’†the next question that applies is; “Sanctions: ‘what do I get if I obey or disobey?’” If I am told to stop, if I obey, I don’t get anything, but I don’t lose anything either. If I disobey, I lose my chance to come back.
Place number three: making cheeseburgers for myself; I hate peanut butter with jelly on bread. One day, at lunch every body else ate things I did not like (mostly PB and J) and we had some beef thawed out. I made three paddies and put them on the sandwich grill. When they came off, they were perrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrfect. One of five institutional questions; “Time: ‘does this outfit have a future?’†It does. from this, I learned how to make cheeseburgers, witch is a good skill to have. I can now make them any time as long as I have beef thawed out.
These are some of the things in my life that have five institutional questions connected to them.
