What Rock Is a building in your town made of?
I live in Indiana, which is famous for limestone. I live in the capital of Indiana, Indianapolis. So I chose the Indiana state house, which is made of limestone.
Limestone is a sedimentary rock, meaning that it is a bunch of tiny pieces cemented together. Limestone is, in my opinion, a cross between really light brown and a really light grey. I don’t remember actually feeling limestone before, but from looking a pictures, I imagine it is kind of grainy. If the information I found is correct, than limestone is made out of calcite and dolomite.
