The cat and dog have influenced me and my actions the most, other than my dad, who I’ve wrote about in this context before. Cooper (our indoor tabby cat) and Rocco (our giant German Shepherd dog) have taught me to respect dogs and cats more than I did previously, although I was much younger when we got them anyway. I’ve learned to love dogs and cats alike because the books that say, “The mean cat tore up all the clothing” or something along those lines just isn’t true in everyday life. “Mad Dog!” is cried in books a lot if the book isn’t centered on Dogs and seeing from their perspective. In reality, dogs aren’t very mean and would only be mean if it was brought up mean or you considered hunting small animals (squirrels, chipmunks, etc. Never small dogs or cats) mean. In summary, Rocco and Cooper have been one of my biggest influences.
